I.T.M.E : Nature Trip To AUROVILLE

I.T.M.E (India Through My Eyes)

Auroville - A Universal Community In The Making.

The morning's agenda is to wake up and spend time with nature, with the most nutritious lunch, a sun kissed evening at the beach which leaves us with the night to dream. Such were my days at the eco-friendly Auroville, where everyone knows every tree, every dog that's no more stray and a gentle smile to make strangers feel at home.

Hanging gardens also used as a partition between houses.

Thousands have walked

The best and the most naturally quenching drink

The Crow and I were the only ones alone, yet with company.

The Source of energy- Maitri Mandir

Banayan Tree with all its might.

Pool of Jasmine

Devotion around the corner.

Living in Auroville, helped me observe that, we have to try so hard to be a part of the eco- system again. The human race is so cut-off from nature that, going back to her is supernatural. It is treated as a big deal, when our friends or acquaintances decide to live close to nature or "leave the materialistic world". This came across while I happened to meet a random person at the village who was a successful architect, but nevertheless wanted to just do farming and live with no electricity and other possessions. He says "people come and visit me like I'm part of another world (which is true, yet!) like I am in a zoo".
