So I stepped into the office of an advertising contact for a meeting. I was expecting a mind bending, energy sucking meeting.
Initially, it started off that way, with a barrage of quick fire questions, back and forth , and knowing how prestigious the agency is, I tried not to "mess up".
This went on for a while, and then the conversation started to gel. Entering the realms of Photography, Industry issues, Innovations, Lighting and surprisingly boko haram.
All in all a great meeting, we actually got a little carried away, so much so that the security guard had to come up and "stylishly" tell us to go away .. in his own words "Oga we wan change generator"
One of the things that stuck with me was Chiaroscuro , literally translated to mean "Light - Dark"
He explained that Light and Darkness or shadow (most commonly expressed in Monochrome) can be mixed to create a deeper dimension to a work of art.
A technique first used by artists, painters in renaissance Italy to depict mood , emotions and even situations and now more popularly employed in the field of photography.

I, Obviously the guy with the simple Canon G12, was fascinated, (first off , because I didn't know what it was called, second cos I actually like to learn) that aside, I decided to serve that dish that's "best served cold" and out came the Cinemagraph .
It didn't fail to fascinate either.
It does make me wonder what other fascinating things lie out there waiting to be discovered?,
and if my other meetings will be that fun.
Only one way to find out I guess.
Wish me luck.
