Frozen Pieces Of Music

In this post, we will be taking a short look at moments in the journey of  a few Nigerian Artistes .
Some of them have just started enjoying the fruits of their labor, Some are just about to break through and are defiant against all odds just like the guys  mentioned before were , while others have reached their peak and started coasting towards legendary status.
What we have done is be there for them in either situation to capture certain frames that tell short stories of who they have always been......Great Artistes by Default ...

Rayce
Enjoying a performance and feedback from the crowd. This was way back in 2009.

Hitting one of his signature high notes. Never mind his face, look at Tuface in the background goin "yeah yeah, he still got it"

DaGrin
The Chief Executive Omoita, Mr Barak O' Grin. At the video shoot of what would later become his most popular single. Normally the most challenging aspect of shooting a video in Lagos would be dealing with the so called "area boys" . However dagrin's music was all about how he came from the area boy condition to where he was then, he was one of them, he spoke for them and he loved them, they could not harass their champion, progressively bridging the gap and speaking against suffering and injustice till his passing on the 23rd of April 2010.

YQ Jubril
Writers Block. Trying to piece together another hit, its never easy. Different permutations and combinations of lyrics and sound, trying to do things others haven't done before.

Suki Yaki

Still my best upcoming artiste. Very resilient  always developing, always learning and growing.
We were roommates in the famed Room C5 in Babcock University, so when i say music and dance, and even to an extent comedy are part and parcel of this guy, i say it from an eye witness point of view.
Currently based in Boston, MA where he ripped up the stage at the Modelling For A Cause event .
He is growing into a strong performer and I'm seriously proud of him
